1 dead after vehicles crash into Susquehanna River in Lancaster County, coroner says
MANOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
One person is dead after two vehicles crashed into the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County early Thursday, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Above: Drone video shows one vehicle in the river, another pulled up onto railroad tracks.
Dispatchers said it happened in the area of Water and Conestoga streets in Manor Township at 2:25 a.m.
The coroner confirmed they were called to the scene for one person.
It’s unclear if anyone else was injured.
A stretch of Water Street is shut down while crews investigate.
Photos from the scene show one car submerged in the river, and another pulled up onto the railroad tracks.
