Andy Reid can think of one way Travis Kelce was able to stay in shape during the off-season — by dancing the night away at his wedding to Taylor Swift.
On Wednesday, July 29, the Kansas City Chiefs coach, 68, joked at a press conference during the football team’s training camp that Kelce was doing “pretty good” on the field after coming back from the off-season.
“Yeah, he looked pretty good,” Reid said. “He stayed in shape. He did a lot of dancing at his wedding.”
Reid was in attendance at Kelce’s July 3 wedding to now-wife Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Just two days after the festivities, Reid spoke to KSL News and said the wedding was “spectacular,” crediting Swift for the “beautiful” planning and execution.
“We enjoyed the wedding. The wedding was spectacular,” the Kansas City Chiefs head coach said on July 5. “I know how weddings go — it’s normally not the groom doing the planning, so I give Taylor a lot of credit for putting together just a beautiful venue and wedding, and so on. Well planned out.”
He also praised Adam Sandler for his officiating skills and the heartfelt advice he gave the couple.
“Adam Sandler did the ceremony there, so he mentioned, ‘Kiss her every chance you have.’ So I think that, in its own simple way, that’s a pretty good message,” Reid told the Utah news outlet. “Kiss her before bed, kiss her before you go to work, all those things. It’s hard to argue when you’re kissing somebody.”

Reid continued, “He even mentioned that if maybe you did have a small argument, to finish it with a kiss and make sure that you work it out. And as simple as that is, I thought it was wise words.”
Reid wore a black tux with a red bowtie from Kansas City-based men’s apparel shop Peters Clothiers to Swift and Kelce’s wedding. The A-list affair was attended by many celebrities from the sports and music worlds, including Benson Boone, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Ellie Goulding, Fergie, Gracie Abrams, George Kittle, Gracie Hunt, and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.
Before the wedding kicked off, Reid hinted that he was invited and planned on attending Kelce and Swift’s nuptials during a May appearance on The Drive show on radio station 96.5 The Fan.
After being directly asked by host Carrington Harrison if Kelce and Swift sent him a wedding invitation, Reid teased, “Well, I probably have. You know, I probably have. And if I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going.”
Harrison said for “the social event of maybe our lifetime,” he should get a brand new tuxedo, to which Reid laughed and responded, “I’m not the show, I’m not the show. I’m just gonna show up.”
“Those guys, I’m so happy for ’em,” Reid added. “When [it] really comes down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them. They’re in love and that’s the most important thing.”
