LINCOLN COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a bear near 520 N. and 350 E.
Residents and travelers in the area are urged to keep children and pets close and supervised. The sheriff’s office said people should not approach or feed the bear.
The sheriff’s office also advised residents to secure garbage, pet food, bird feeders and other items that may attract wildlife.
Anyone who encounters the bear should remain calm, give it plenty of space, slowly back away and not run.
The sheriff’s office said it is monitoring the situation.
Anyone who sees the bear, especially if it is acting aggressively or remains in a residential area, should contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office immediately and provide its location.
