PITT COUNTY, N.C. — A Farmville man is being held without bond after authorities say he punched and bit someone known to him.
Marcus Allen Barnes, 40, was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center on Aug. 2.
According to court records, Barnes allegedly struck the victim in the face and head with a closed fist, fracturing the victim’s nose.
Barnes is also accused of biting the victim’s left shoulder hard enough to break the skin.
He is charged with assault inflicting serious bodily injury and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
Barnes remains in the Pitt County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Aug. 3.
