What kind of Faustian bargain does one have to make, exactly, to become Martha Stewart? There is really no one who is better at living life. Exhibit A: Stewart’s Instagram post on Tuesday, the day after her 85th birthday, which showed the lifestyle guru lounging sexily in an enormous hot tub that she says she’ll be using every day for the time being. The dream!
The photo shows Stewart serving face in the hot tub against a backdrop of pine trees in Maine, where she has a home. In the caption she wrote, “I am going to use this amazing hot tub every single day I am in Maine.” She added, as though invoking a mantra, “Invigorating, restorative, therapeutic, relaxing.” Had I access to this kind of hot tub, you better believe that I, too, would be in that thing every single day.
Stewart also celebrated her birthday with a yellow birthday cake with meringue frosting and, naturally, her 14 geese. The tradwives could never.
