Jahkeeva Morgan is vice president of business incubation and entrepreneurship at The Lab at ConnCORP, where she oversees programs, partnerships and operations for a 43,000-square-foot business incubator supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. She manages grant-funded initiatives, including a $4 million federal investment, and has helped support hundreds of entrepreneurs through business development and financial literacy programs.
Morgan conceived, co-created and launched the ConnCORP-Quinnipiac University Entrepreneurship Academy in 2022 and focuses on advancing economic mobility through entrepreneurship, generational wealth building and the social determinants of health.
What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
My biggest professional accomplishment has been launching the ConnCORP-Quinnipiac University Entrepreneurship Academy, which has supported more than 80 entrepreneurs and students, and leading the expansion of our 43,000-square-foot business incubator through a $4 million federal investment, creating new innovation, training and community spaces that support entrepreneurial growth and economic opportunity.
How are you involved in the community?
Community is at the heart of ConnCORP’s work. I support initiatives that connect residents to resources and opportunities, including entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs, community events and our annual backpack giveaway. I also help activate collaborative spaces at The Lab and partner with organizations to strengthen economic and community development.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, visiting outdoor spaces like Elizabeth Park Rose Garden in Hartford and exploring creative outlets such as candlemaking, painting and graphic design. I also love traveling, learning about different cultures and translating those experiences into new recipes and culinary adventures at home.

Advanced from intern to board member of the Connecticut Society for Public Health Education, helping build membership and organizational capacity before age 30.
Created programs and community partnerships that contributed to The Lab at ConnCORP receiving the 2024 Minority-Owned Business of the Year Award.
Directed the expansion of a 43,000-sq.-ft. business incubator, earning the 2025 Ella Baker Community Design Award for advancing community-centered economic development.

I enjoy fitness challenges and annually participate in obstacle course races supporting various social determinants of health causes.
