A new era of Kentucky athletics officially started when J Batt left Michigan State to run the athletic department and Champions Blue LLC in Lexington. The previous era was officially over after that move. Now a long-time athletic department employee is leaving for another job opportunity.
Kentucky deputy athletics directory Marc Hill departing the Bluegrass for the Big 12. The former Iowa Wesleyan linebacker is headed to Provo.

Hill has been an employee at the University of Kentucky for nearly 30 years. This university administrator spent nine years as executive associate athletics director before being promoted to deputy athletics director where he has served as Mitch Barnhart’s No. 2 since 2019. Hill previously spent a dozen years working in strength and conditioning at UK before transitioning to administration.
The former strength coach has held numerous jobs within the University of Kentucky athletic department. Hill played a big role in capital projects such as the recent Kroger Field renovation and the construction of the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
The long-time UK athletics employee worked directly with the football program for many years. That will now change after his departure to BYU.
