JR Payne and Colorado’s Women’s Basketball squad will be back in action in no time, as the program finalized and released their home non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season late Wednesday afternoon.
Payne has opted not to play it safe with Colorado’s non-con slate over the last two years, scheduling programs like reigning national champs LSU and Louisville. This season, Payne chose to be less risky when scheduling programs, but not by much.
Here’s Colorado’s home non-conference slate:
At first glance, CU’s home non-con schedule might look like a breeze, but there are some seriously difficult opponents hiding in there. Montana State was a tournament team last season after winning the Big Sky. There are also rematches with Mountain West up-and-comers Wyoming and Boise State, who both gave CU serious trouble in their road matchups last season. Unlike last season, the Buffs will get a chance to beat the Broncos and Cowgirls in Boulder in 2025. Charleston and Miami Ohio are also formidable opponents, as both are predicted to be among their conference’s best this season.
Colorado will also participate in the Hawaii North Shore Showcase from November 20-25, in between their games against Boise State and Montana State. The field for this midseason tournament will be the Buffs, UT Arlington, Texas A&M and VCU. The official schedule for the tournament hasn’t been released yet, but Colorado will play two of the three other teams traveling to Oahu.
As for Colorado’s away games, we’ll have to be patient and wait for its release in the coming weeks or months. When that information becomes public, we’ll be the first to report it over here at Ralphie Report.
