JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Frontier Attractions has received a $50,000 pledge donation from Unison Bank toward the development of Bison Bend Mini Golf at Frontier Village. In recognition of the gift, the picnic pavilion (current amphitheater) will be named the Unison Bank Picnic Pavilion. The pavilion will be refurbished as part of the project and provide a gathering space for families, groups, and visitors.
“We are incredibly grateful to Unison Bank for making this investment in Frontier Village and our community,” said Allison Limke, Treasurer of the Jamestown Frontier Attractions board. Unison Bank stated, “We are honored to support Jamestown Frontier Attraction’s vision for the new mini golf course. This project will give our community and visitors a unique and fun activity that will create lasting memories. We look forward to seeing everyone enjoy it for years to come.”
Construction on the 18-hole course that will transform an underused area is underway. Each hole will incorporate a piece of North Dakota or Jamestown history, creating a “learn as you play” experience. The front 9 loop will be fully ADA accessible.
“It’s exciting to have Unison Bank step forward and support what we’re building,” said Luke Zimmer, Frontier Village Site Supervisor. “Their investment helps us create a place where families from near and far can gather, spend time together, and make memories for generations to come. We still have work to do, and we’re continuing conversations with businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to be part of Bison Bend.”
Local businesses, organizations, and donors have contributed more than $200,000 to Bison Bend, including sponsorships for all 18 holes. Combined with funding from the North Dakota Destination Development Grant and other project investments, more than $500,000 has been secured. Approximately $400,000 remains to fully fund Bison Bend, including construction, visitor amenities, and site improvements.
Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $2,000 to $100,000 remain available for benches, tables, shade awnings, landscaping, educational features, and other improvements. Individuals and families can also participate through the new Become A Villager program, giving community members a way to support Bison Bend and the future of Frontier Village.
