Man fatally struck by Amtrak train in Plaistow, police say
PLAISTOW, N.H. —
Plaistow Police are investigating after a man was found dead along train tracks on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the man was struck along the tracks near Blossom Road at 1:39 p.m.
According to Amtrak, the train was traveling from Portland, Maine, to Boston when it struck a vehicle. WMUR’s crew did not see any vehicle at the scene, and police did not mention a vehicle in its news release about the incident.
Amtrak officials said no train passengers or crew members were injured.
Around 4:30 p.m., WMUR’s crew saw the train leave the scene.
