Overnight high speed chase ends in Raytown with two in custody
MSHP troopers tell us a driver went over 100 MPH through Lee’s Summit
Two people are in custody after a high-speed chase early Friday morning.
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers tell us they were trying to pull over the driver of a Kia SUV near 291 and 50 Highways in Lee’s Summit just after 4:00 AM. Troopers say the vehicle matched the description of a suspect vehicle in vehicle break-ins in Lee’s Summit.
The driver didn’t pull over and sped through Lee’s Summit and Raytown at over 100 miles per hour.
Troopers say the driver pulled into an apartment complex near Blue Ridge Cutoff and East 61st Terrace where three people fled the car.
Two people were brought into custody. As of now, one person is still on the loose.
Troopers are investigating whether or not the vehicle was stolen overnight.
