Kentucky went to work in the transfer portal this winter and added 36 college transfers after signing two junior college transfers in December. This program flipped a roster yet again. A flipped roster means that numerous former player will be playing football for another program in 2026.

— There will be 38 former Kentucky players playing FBS football for other schools this season, per KSR’s tracker.

— Caleb Redd (EKU), Dennious Jackson (Towson), Anfernee Crease (Lamar), and Javeon Campbell (Alabama (A&M) will all be playing FCS football.

— Arizona State, Ball State, UConn, Kansas State, Louisville, and South Carolina all have multiple former Kentucky players on the roster.

— There are seven former Kentucky players on Louisville’s 2026 roster. Evan Wibberley (center), Jerod Smith II (defensive end), and DJ Waller Jr. (cornerback) are all expected to start or play a major role for the Cardinals this fall. Vince Marrow was the lead recruiter on many of them when they originally signed with Kentucky.

— Tomiwa Durojaiye (defensive tackle) and Quay’sheed Scott (nickel) are both projected defensive starters at South Carolina. The former is on his fifth school in five years after stops at UK, West Virginia, Florida State, and Illinois.

— Darrion Henry-Young (Coastal Carolina to Virginia), Elijah Reed (Akron to Utah), Brandon White (Hawaii to Kansas State), and La’Vell Wright (WKU to Pittsburgh) have returned to power conference football after a quick stop in the Group of Six.

— Kentucky EDGE Antonio O’Berry was turned down a waiver for a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA. So was former Kentucky linebacker Landyn Watson. Henry-Young (seventh season), Wright (sixth season), and Troy Stellato (sixth season) will all need a waiver to play this season. Each dealt with a season-long injury at some point during their playing careers.
