Any time Rhea Ripley has been involved in a match that also included Iyo Sky, WWE pushed the story that she has never defeated her. At tonight’s (Sun., July 13, 2025) Evolution 2 premium live event at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, she got another chance in the main event, with the women’s world championship on the line.

Sky chose this, no different than Tiffany Stratton chose Trish Stratus, for the status of defeating the best and solidifying her reign.

They had one hell of a match, easily the best on the card in the biggest spot. Late in said match, they did a ref bump, with Ripley hitting the Riptide for a visual pin just after.

It sure felt like they were going to do it again, giving Sky yet another victory over Rhea. She responded by fighting with Sky all through the crowd, eventually getting to the high spot of the match, a monster cross body from maybe 15 feet in the air.

They eventually made it back to the ring, just for Sky to hit Ripley with a powerbomb to the floor from the apron. She followed that with the Over the Moonsault, and the ref was back, but she only got to two before Ripley kicked out! Every face in the crowd was one of shock and awe.

And then Ripley hit a huge Spanish Fly.

They both sold like hell.

And then Naomi’s music hit.

She ran down, made it a triple threat by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract, and hit her finish to pin Sky to become the new women’s world champion.

Wow.
