Beyond what we’ve already mentioned above, quite a few games have already been confirmed for Gamescom Opening Night Live, although not all of them are definitely coming to Xbox.

Some of the highlights that will definitely be there include Metro 2039, The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, Valor Mortis and Final Fantasy VII: Revelation.

A new look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation will premiere on Tuesday, August 25 as part of @gamescom Opening Night Live, introduced by game director @nhamaguc pic.twitter.com/b5xE58sbRs— Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) August 6, 2026

This is absolutely just the tip of the iceberg though, as Gamescom Opening Night Live is a lengthy event and most of the games don’t get announced ahead of time – expect plenty of surprises along the way.

Hopefully we might even get some Xbox Game Pass surprises as well!

This year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase will run for about two hours, which is in-line with recent ONL livestreams. Again though, keep in mind that there’s a 30-minute preshow beforehand.

Gamescom’s ONL show will be available to watch live on both YouTube and Twitch. You can also join us here at Pure Xbox, where we’ll be hosting the event alongside a live chatroom for you to discuss all the news with the PX community as it happens.

And of course, if you’re not around to watch the event live, we’ll bring you all the big Xbox news as soon as it’s over.
