Detectives respond after body pulled from Mon River in Allegheny County
BRADDOCK, Pa. —
An investigation is underway after detectives said a body was pulled from the Mon River in Allegheny County on Sunday.
Allegheny County police’s homicide unit said they were requested by other officials in Braddock following reports of a body in the Mon River.
Dispatchers confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that crews were called near the Braddock lock and dam after 3:30 p.m.
We’re told the body of an adult man was pulled from the river.
Police said there are no obvious signs of trauma.
The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
