Baltimore police break up student crowd at The Rotunda after scooter crashes and fight
BALTIMORE —
Baltimore police responded to The Rotunda in Hampden on Monday afternoon to assist private security with a large group of students in the area.
According to police, officers observed a large crowd of students gathered outside several stores and using public spaces when they arrived.
Police said the officers also responded to two separate incidents involving students who lost control of Lime scooters and crashed.
In one of the incidents, a scooter struck the storefront of Cinnaholic, breaking a window. In the second, a scooter struck a car in the parking lot.
Officers also broke up a verbal and physical fight involving several female students.
Police told WBAL-TV 11 News that the property owner requested officers escort everyone off the property, including students and customers.
