OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One person is injured after a crash that knocked down power lines in Omaha’s Benson neighborhood.
Police officers went to the crash at 54th Street and Northwest Radial Highway at about 8 p.m. Monday.
Lt. Neal Bonacci said a vehicle struck a utility pole, bringing down the power lines.
Northwest Radial Highway is closed in both directions between 52nd and 54th streets until the lines are cleared. Police cruisers blocked traffic until Omaha Public Power District crews could place barricades around 11 p.m.
OPPD expects repairs to be completed and the road to reopen around 6 a.m. Tuesday, Bonacci says.
