YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Yellowstone National Park announced that a temporary closure of Buffalo Creek, in the northern part of the park, will take place.

Officials say it will be closed to the public from the northern park bo9undary downstream to its confluence with Slough Creek while biologists remove invasive rainbow trout by applying the EPA-approved piscicide rotenone.

Signs will be posted about the closures.

This will start Aug. 31 and will reopen Sept. 7.
