Below, I break down why each prop stands out based on projected role, matchup and recent performance.

Kiki Rice U 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)

While Rice is going to see a big role tonight vs. the Storm with the Tempo shorthanded, this line is still too high for the guard. With Marina Marbey (adductor), Brittney Sykes (foot), Nyara Sabally (calf), Aneesah Morrow (knee) and Maria Conde (calf) all out Sunday vs. the Aces, Rice was solid, but underwhelming relative to expectations, posting 14 points, five assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes with a 22% usage rate.

All of those players have been ruled out again for tonight, besides Conde, who is questionable. Rice is going to receive another large workload and she is in a more friendly matchup vs. the Storm, who rank 10th in defensive rating, but the rookie falling short of 26.5 PRA is still the most likely outcome. Rice has logged 25+ minutes 11 times this season and she has only surpassed 26.5 PRA in three of those games.

Saniya Rivers U 9.5 Points (-109)

With Leila Lacan away from the Sun as she competes for France in the FIBA World Cup for the next few weeks, Rivers started last night vs. the Sky, but the second-year guard didn’t provide much offense, scoring just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting in 29 minutes. Among Connecticut’s starters, Rivers saw the second-lowest usage rate at 15.2%.

This was an average matchup with Chicago ranking seventh in defensive rating and Rivers is in a much tougher spot tonight vs. the Valkyries, who lead the league in defensive rating and rank dead last in pace. Rivers is shooting an ugly 35% from the field this season and despite her drawing another start tonight, Rivers should finish below 9.5 points. The 23-year-old is averaging 8.1 PPG in her 13 starts this season and she has fallen short of 9.5 points in nine of these games.

Flau’jae Johnson U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-160)

Johnson has had a strong rookie season, averaging 13.8 PPG and she just hit five treys vs. the Wings in her last start, but overall, her outside shooting has been suspect. Johnson is averaging 1.3 made three-pointers per game while shooting 28% from beyond the arc. The guard has failed to hit multiple treys in 23-of-36 games, including seven of her last 10,

Johnson is in a great spot vs. the Tempo tonight, who rank dead last in defensive rating and are allowing the second-most three-pointers per game (9.4), but Johnson has struggled vs. Toronto, hitting just 1-of-6 three-pointers. The 22-year-old should come back down to earth tonight after lighting up the Wings and is a sharp bet for under 1.5 made treys.
