SEATTLE — The full moon will be nearly eclipsed by the Earth’s shadow Thursday night.
NASA says the Earth’s shadow will seem to take a bite out of the moon.
The eclipse will begin before the moon rises in western Washington, so keep your eyes peeled on the horizon.
The moon will rise at 7:51 p.m. in Seattle. The eclipse will peak around 9:15 p.m. with 96% totality. The partially eclipsed moon will appear to be bathed in colors of rust, copper, and brown.
The eclipse will end around midnight Pacific.
