I wouldn’t say that Seattle was impressive by any sense of the imagination against Kansas City, but they played well enough to win the game. Once again, there were no starters to be found on the field for the Seahawks while the Chiefs had a number of their first string get snaps including Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones. Maybe the best news of all was that there were no major injuries considering the shitshow that encompassed the trip to face the Tennessee Titans.
Despite the Myers fiasco, I came away pretty encouraged with this game. The stream I was watching was the Chiefs broadcast so it was interesting to hear some of their analysis. Former Chiefs QB and current NFL Analyst Trent Green was on the broadcast and came away quite impressed with Milroe. Sometimes it’s good to get a different perspective from someone who doesn’t religiously follow the team.
We can have such high expectations as fans that it colors our view of how some of the players are actually progressing. No, the Seahawks didn’t win any preseason games this year which we would’ve all liked to see. Their young players, however, did get vital reps to aid in their progression should they be called upon in the regular season. Real ball is up next, and I couldn’t be more excited!
