The US Open is underway, and WTA World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is prepared to defend her title.

It was a dizzying week of media events for the players who are probably relieved to hit the court to play.

One thing we learned in last week’s media frenzy is when Sabalenka is planning to get married.

Sabalenka was engaged at Indian Wells

She and her longtime boyfriend Georgios Frangulis got engaged in March 2026 at Indian Wells.

Sabalenka celebrated the engagement with big wins at Indian Wells and the Miami Open, capturing the Sunshine Double. She is only the fifth woman to accomplish this feat.

Sabalenka says the wedding will be in September 2027

She recently shared that the wedding will happen next September.

The logical guess is that Sabalenka will marry shortly after next year’s US Open which runs from August 29 through September 12, 2027.

Where would it be?

It is unclear how much planning has occurred. Sabalenka mentioned that wedding planning will be a bigger focus after this year’s US Open.

That has not stopped us from speculating on the wedding location.

Would it be far fetched if it happened in New York?

While Sabalenka loves the glitter and pace of New York City, it also would not be surprising if the couple had a destination wedding in Greece where they have been known to vacation.

She could also opt to go home and get married in Belarus.

Wherever she decides to have the wedding, we expect it will be joyful and fun just as she is.
