Some fathers are proud #GirlDads, but others would prefer to raise a cohort of Jimmys, Johns, Chads, and Brads.
Nothing wrong with that, everyone has preferences. But few fathers-to-be will go to the lengths that ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit and his wife apparently went through to ensure their four children came out with their preferred chromosomes.
On a recent episode of Bussin’ with the Boys, Herbstreit shared his “secret” postcoital maneuver that supposedly helped his wife pop out four boys.

“What’s your secret?” co-host Will Compton asked Herbstreit when he revealed all four of his children were boys.
“To be specific, my wife was a gymnast. So when we would get done with … when we were done, she read something, she would do, she heard that the male sperm were faster. She would do a headstand or handstand, she would go up on the bed,” Herbstreit explained, using his arms to show how gravity would then do its thing, “and we’re four-for-four.”
The studio erupted with laughter, but perhaps the most shocking part was that Herbstreit wasn’t alone in this endeavor.
Surely it must’ve helped Herbie to have a gymnast wife because, as it turns out, Bussin’ co-host Taylor Lewan used the same maneuver with his wife, only he had to be a more active participant.
“My second, we did the same thing,” Lewan said. “My wife was not a gymnast, so I held her legs. And we’re both laughing about it, I’m like, ‘Sweetheart, we’re getting the boy this time!’”
Who knows if there’s any truth to all this, but it seems to have produced the desired results for both Herbstreit and Lewan. Hey, whatever works!
