Coroner responds after vehicle crashes down embankment off Pennsylvania Turnpike, police say
FANNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
The coroner was called after a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Franklin County on Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Richard Levan.

Levan said a vehicle drove off the right side of the westbound lanes and went down an embankment. It happened in Fannett Township near the Blue Mountain Tunnel at 5:20 a.m.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
Levan said the incident was witnessed by an individual who remained at the crash.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
