NBA champion Harrison Barnes purchases bank in Paton, Iowa
PATON, Iowa —
NBA champion Harrison Barnes made a big investment in Iowa.
Barnes put $25 million of his own money toward purchasing a bank in Paton on Tuesday.
Barnes played at Ames High School with former Creighton star Doug McDermott. The duo led the school to back-to-back titles.
Barnes is entering his 15th NBA season with the San Antonio Spurs.
He won the 2015 title with the Golden State Warriors.
