Man, teen shot during fight at corner store near school in Southwest Baltimore, police say
BALTIMORE —
A man and a teenager were shot Wednesday morning at a corner store near a school in Southwest Baltimore.
City police said officers were called around 10:47 a.m. to the 200 block of North Hilton Street, where a 41-year-old man was shot and a 16-year-old boy was found in the area suffering from a gunshot wound to one of his arms. Both the man and teenager were taken to hospitals.
A preliminary investigation indicates a fight broke out inside the A&Y Grocery Store on the corner of North Hilton and Kossuth streets across from Green Street Academy.
Police said the man and teenager were shot during the altercation. The teenager left the store and was found nearby. Police said officers searched the area and recovered a weapon.
