Watch: Couple weds waist-deep in floodwaters after heavy rains flood church
BULAKAN, Philippines —
After heavy rains flooded their church, a bride in Bulacan, Philippines, walked down the aisle through waist-deep water to marry her groom.
The couple had been advised by St. John the Baptist Parish in Hagonoy to postpone the ceremony, but they decided to go ahead.
The bride’s gown was shortened for the occasion, while portable speakers replaced the church’s sound system after the power went out.
Guests and members of the wedding party stood in knee-deep water as the ceremony continued. It may not have been the wedding they imagined, but it was certainly one no one will forget.
