Two killed in small plane crash in Western Mass
LUDLOW, Mass. —
A small plane crashed Saturday night, killing two people in the Western Massachusetts town of Ludlow.
Witnesses saw the plane go down and called for help, according to the Ludlow Fire Department. Rescuers searched the area using a Massachusetts State Police plane and drones, and found the downed aircraft in a wooded area off Center Street.
The Hampden District Attorney’s Office is investigating the fatal crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board were notified and are responding to the scene.
