WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The community is invited to walk, walk and learn about mental illness at the 24th annual NAMI Wilmington Walk for Awareness.
The two-mile walk will raise awareness for mental illness and support NAMI programs.
“This event is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy,” organizers said.
It is scheduled for Oct. 3 at Long Leaf Park. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. at Picnic Shelter 6.
