MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WSBT) — The herd of mountain goats on a foliage eating mission along the St. Joseph Riverbank in Mishawaka are headed home.
Tuesday was their last day in the city.

The goats were deployed to the area around the Riverwalk last month to help clear out invasive plants around the riverbank.

Mishawaka Parks posted on social media Tuesday night, saying these little celebrities helped open up views of the river, improved the ecosystem’s health and brought the community together.
