EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso International Airport is celebrating local artistry with the return of the Photography Enthusiasts of El Paso exhibit or PEEP.

The exhibit, which is displayed in the Rental Car Center lobby until February 1, 2026, opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.

This year’s display features 37 images from area photographers, showcasing a variety of perspectives and styles.

PEEP, for more than 30 years, has been committed to promoting photography as a hobby, profession, and art form.

The organization offers a platform for photographers of all skill levels and ages to exchange ideas and develop their artistic and technical skills.

PEEP also provides educational programs, exhibitions, and competitions, which aim to nurture a healthy spirit among its members.

One photographer shared her passion for the art, saying, “Photography allows me to capture moments and perspectives that might otherwise go unnoticed.”

Airport officials said the collaboration has become a valued tradition, offering a fresh perspective on the community through the lens of art and photography.

This is the third time the PEEP exhibit has teamed up with the city’s airport, as last year’s show drew in competition with 150 entries from 45 artists, according to PEEP President Tim Holt.

“We’re honored to continue partnering with PEEP to showcase the incredible work of El Paso’s photography community,” El Paso Director of Aviation Tony Nevarez said. “This exhibit has become a special tradition at the airport, and we’re excited to share these inspiring images with our passengers for a third year.”

The unique partnership between local artists and a photography group is providing visitors with a creative insight into life in El Paso.

“I got a degree in art. It’s always something new to people or subjects or just exploring and finding something in this building,” said an artist involved in the initiative.
