BYU rose four spots from No. 15 to No. 11 in Sunday’s latest AP top 25 poll following a 28-17 win over Arizona, and Utah’s explosive 43-10 victory over Arkansas led to a three-spot jump from No. 20 to No. 17.
The Cougars currently stand as the highest-ranked Big 12 team, with Texas Tech (No. 13) and Houston (No. 22) also representing the conference in the poll.
After stunning Ohio State, Texas is now the No. 1-ranked squad in the country.
Notre Dame, BYU’s Oct. 17 opponent in Provo, sits at No. 3 in the rankings.
BYU heads for a Pac-12 road clash with Colorado State this week, and Utah will host instate foe Utah State.
