Limerick’s SOS Cookies has been named one of five winners of Visa’s 2026 She’s Next Grant Programme in Ireland, securing a €10,000 business grant alongside tailored pitch coaching and expert mentorship.
Founded in 2020 by Limerick woman Sarah O’Sullivan, SOS Cookies makes premium handmade cookies for online customers, independent cafés, corporate clients, and major retail outlets nationwide.
The growing enterprise currently employs more than 40 people.
The national grant scheme awarded a total of €90,000 to female founders across Ireland, aimed at closing the entrepreneurship gap and helping women-owned businesses scale.
Speaking following the announcement, Sarah said, “Having a company like Visa back you and your business is an amazing feeling.”
“The funding from the programme will help us to scale our production through new equipment, supporting further retail growth.”
“Additionally, the pitch preparation sessions have been invaluable, equipping me with the skills and confidence to pursue future funding opportunities… I’m looking forward to joining this fantastic network of female founders.”
In addition to financial backing, winning founders received individual coaching from prominent Irish business leaders, including Aimee Connolly (Sculpted by Aimee), former Primark board member Breege O’Donoghue, and Gráinne Mullins (Grá Chocolates).
