RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – More than 100 golfers will gather Thursday for a new charity golf tournament aimed at raising money for schools and students across the Black Hills.
Black Hills Federal Credit Union will host its first annual “Drive to Improve Lives” tournament Sept. 17 at The Club at Red Rocks. The event includes 26 teams and 104 golfers, with proceeds benefiting the credit union’s Charitable Fund and School Support Drive.
The money will help pay for classroom wish lists, school improvement projects and student lunch debt relief.
The School Support Drive is marking its 30th year. BHFCU said the program provided nearly $59,400 in support in 2025, including funding for teacher wish lists, school projects and lunch debt assistance.
The tournament has 14 local business sponsors, while four teams are participating through in-kind contributions, including first responders and local school representatives.
BHFCU plans to make the tournament an annual event as part of its community giving efforts.
