At least some of the punishment the Michigan football program will face for the Connor Stalions sign-stealing scandal reportedly leaked ahead of the NCAA’s Friday press conference.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Dan Wetzel reported the Wolverines will receive a fine of more than $20 million. Head coach Sherrone Moore will also be suspended an extra game in addition to the school’s self-imposed two-game suspension for Weeks 3 and 4 of the 2025 season.
The additional suspension is expected to happen in 2026.
Thamel noted these rulings are “among” the punishments Michigan is facing, so the NCAA’s release could reveal more sanctions.
