LAS VEGAS — Timely free throws from team-high scorer A.J. Lawson and Jamal Shead and a critical missed 3-pointer by Tristan da Silva with five seconds remaining keyed the Toronto Raptors to an 89-86 win over the Orlando Magic in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The Magic exited the first quarter with a 25-21 advantage, but the Raptors roared back in the second to erase it and build a five-point lead going into halftime. However, the seesaw battle continued in the third when Orlando knocked its deficit down to two points. After the game’s fourth and final tie with 3:39 remaining, Toronto finished on a 10-7 run that included Lawson and Shead’s free throws with 43 and 18 seconds left, respectively.

Lawson led the Raptors with 21 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Ja’Kobe Walter delivered 16 points, four boards, two steals and one block. Jonathan Mogbo supplied 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Shead and Ulrich Chomche generated matching 10-point contributions while adding four assists and four rebounds, respectively. Shead also turned in two steals, while Chomche had three steals and two blocks.

Wendell Moore Jr. paced the Magic with a game-high 22 points, complementing them with six rebounds and one steal. Rookie first-round pick Jase Richardson finished with 19 points, four assists, two rebounds and two blocks. Da Silva compiled 18 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block. Alondes Williams registered 14 points, four boards, three assists, two steals and one block.

The Raptors’ next game is against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, while the Magic face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday evening.
