SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – With terminal flooring renovations complete, Springfield-Branson National Airport has unveiled a new visual art exhibition celebrating the diverse voices and stories of southwest Missouri residents.
The airport officially debuted “The Life I Choose” on Wednesday afternoon inside the Sky Gallery, one of the Ozarks’ most prominent public art venues located within the commercial terminal.
Presented by nonprofit organization Abilities First in collaboration with local photographer and filmmaker Randy Bacon, the multi-panel exhibition pairs portraiture with personal narratives from individuals of varying abilities. The project aims to provide each featured subject with a dedicated platform to share their personal journey and perspective in their own words.
The installation will remain on display in the Sky Gallery through December.
