JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From live music and silent discos to art, animals and community events, here’s a look at what’s happening around Jacksonville this weekend.
TONIGHT: SIP & STROLL
5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, Southbank Riverwalk, 2010 Prudential Drive
Sip & Stroll returns to the Southbank Riverwalk. The free monthly event invites attendees to stroll the riverwalk with drinks served in branded Sip & Stroll cups.
Afterward, Hush Hush hosts a free silent disco from 7 to 11 p.m. on the DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront pool deck. Headphone rental is free, and the event is open to all ages.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 18
QuiltFest Jacksonville 2026: Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, 1000 Water St., Jacksonville, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Quilt displays and competitions, vendors, workshops, food and exhibits, including the SAQA “TRIO” exhibit. Tickets are $17; $16 for seniors 60 and older and military; children younger than 12 are free. Parking is free.
Riviera 89 grand opening: 100 Marketside Ave, Suite 305, in the Nocatee Town Center in Ponte Vedra.

Amber Autry: 7:15 and 9:45 p.m. Friday; 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Comedy Zone Jacksonville, 3130 Hartley Road
The Nashville-based comedian performs Friday and Saturday. The shows are for guests 21 and older.
The Mars Volta with Kianí: Doors at 7 p.m.; show at 8 p.m. FIVE, Jacksonville
The progressive rock group performs with Kianí and special guests.
Josh Turner: 7:30 p.m. Florida Theatre, downtown Jacksonville
The country music singer brings his “This Country Music Thing Tour” to the Florida Theatre.
Sunset Silent Disco on the Pier: 7-10 p.m. Jacksonville Beach Pier
The all-ages event features two music channels until 9 p.m. Headphone rental is $10 for adults and $5 for children 17 and younger. The event is weather permitting.
Art exhibits across Jacksonville: Various times Cummer Museum and MOCA Jacksonville
“Ashley Woodson Bailey: What Remains” continues at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, 829 Riverside Ave. Several exhibits, including “Outside Looking In: The Paintings of Amer Kobaslija,” are also scheduled to continue at MOCA Jacksonville through Sept. 20.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 19
The Cowabunga Camp and Shaggy Cow Lounge: Salty Heifer Livestock Company, Middleburg
Families can spend time with fluffy cattle and other farm animals at the Cowabunga Camp and Shaggy Cow Lounge. The experience includes shaded seating, snacks and drinks. Proceeds support livestock programs and youth projects.
Stroll Mates: 8:30-11 a.m. Animal Care and Protective Services, 2020 Forest St.
Residents can take part in a community dog-walking event hosted through Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services.
Fur-Ever Fall Pet Adoption Event: 9-11 a.m. Dogtopia of Jacksonville, 11300 Beach Blvd.
The adoption event offers an opportunity to meet pets looking for homes.
Florida’s 6th Seven Bridges POW/MIA Remembrance Day Ride: Saturday morning, Jacksonville
Motorcyclists and community members are expected to gather for the annual POW/MIA remembrance ride. The Florida American Legion says all riders are welcome.
Wing Eating & Hot Sauce Challenge: 1-5 p.m. at Myrtle Avenue Brewing at 633 N Myrtle Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32204 in the Railyard District near Downtown & Rail Yard District
This is a free, family-friendly Jacksonville food festival and community event featuring epic hot chicken wings, local craft beer, rock music, and a local artisan makers market.

The country singer performs Saturday night at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
Ella Langley: 7 p.m. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville

Root Down Silent Disco: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Root Down Jax, Riverside
The 21-and-older nightlife event features three music channels and a request hotline. The first 30 people receive free headphone rental, according to the event organizer.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 20
Jacksonville Barkfest: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Riverside Artist Square, 729 Riverside Ave.
The third annual event brings dogs, vendors, food, contests and music to the Northbank Riverwalk Artist Square under the Fuller Warren Bridge.
Artful Movement with Yoga 4 Change: 10 a.m. MOCA Jacksonville
The museum event combines movement and art as part of a Sunday morning program.
An Afternoon of Brahms: 4-6 p.m. St. John’s Cathedral, 12713 Fort Caroline Road
The concert features music by Johannes Brahms.
