PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Law enforcement identified the person who was shot and killed in a Northeast Portland parking lot on Tuesday night as a 30-year-old man from Portland.
The medical examiner ruled that Arturo Armas Jr. died of homicide by gunshot wound.
Officers were called out at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on reports of a shooting in a parking lot near Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive. They arrived to find Armas Jr. and another man injured.

Both men were taken to the hospital, but Armas Jr. died of his injuries. There was no immediate word on the other man’s condition.
Investigators say they’ve informed the family of Armas Jr. of his death.
