MacIntyre posted a round of 68 on day one, but could only manage a 72 on day two, leaving him six back of the lead at the midway point of the tournament.
The 30-year-old Scot made two eagles on Friday at Wentworth, one of which was a hole-out from 190 yards for a two on the par-four 15th hole.
Robert MacIntyre also made one birdie, three bogeys, and a double bogey before signing for a round of 72 on Friday at the BMW PGA Championship.
MacIntyre has been criticized this season for his poor attitude on the golf course.
He has been involved in plenty of controversy, including his display of poor behavior during The Masters back in April.

MacIntyre was quite clearly unhappy during his round at Wentworth on Friday.
The frustrated Scot bemoaned the numerous poor shots that he hit, but he did manage to salvage a round of even-par in the end.
When speaking to reporters, MacIntyre was asked to sum up his second round at the BMW PGA Championship.

“Yeah, I probably had the unluckiest stretch of few holes and then the luckiest stretch of few holes. Yeah, I’m actually fizzing right now but I have two days to fix it,“ the 30-year-old admitted.
“Yeah, I’ve just got to try and find some positives. I don’t know what else to say. Just try and find some positives within it because I’m making too many mistakes.“
Robert MacIntyre is far too harsh on himself at times, and his fiery temper clearly doesn’t help him perform to the best of his ability.
Sometimes professional golfers need to take a step back and remember how lucky they are to be doing what they do for a living.
Perhaps if MacIntyre takes that attitude into the weekend at the BMW PGA Championship, he will actually perform better.
