MEDFORD, Ore. – A new indoor golf simulator and gym is getting ready to open its doors in Medford.

Located on Crater Lake Highway, Club 72 is a membership-based golf simulator and gym facility currently under construction. The business will feature three golf simulator bays alongside a full gym with weightlifting and cardio equipment.

Founded by Andy Monroe and Jantz Tostenson, the hybrid model aims to appeal to Medford’s fitness and golf industry.

“The fitness and golf industry is huge here, but limited, and the barrier to entry is pretty high financially. So we’re just trying to really open up this opportunity and make golf more accessible,” said Tostenson.

The space will be open to all ages, but only memberships will allow customers to book golfing bays.

Tostenson said Club 72 hopes to provide another option for children, experienced golfers and people interested in trying the sport, while also offering additional amenities.

“We want our members to feel like this place is their home away from home. They can come use the simulators whenever they want or they could come hit a lift,” said Tostenson.

Renovations are now nearing completion, with crews currently working on framing the three simulator bays.

Club 72 is aiming to open in early October.

“Providing the hybrid space of lifting, cardio, anything you could really want to do in a gym, also having golf at its highest performance capability is definitely, I think, the first in Oregon,” said Tostenson.
