CHICAGO, Ill. – The Big Ten and CBS have announced the kickoff time and broadcast information for No. 7 Ohio State’s Week 5 game against No. 17 Iowa on Monday afternoon.
In their first road conference game of the season, the Buckeyes will face off against Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 3 with kickoff at Kinnick Stadium set for 3:30 PM ET on CBS.
Ohio State is 48-15-3 all-time against the Hawkeyes. This marks the first time Ohio State will play in Iowa City since 2017. In the Ryan Day era, the Buckeyes are 2-0 against Iowa with their last win coming in 2024.
Since 1989, the Buckeyes lead with a 17-3 record and is 8-2 against the Hawkeyes on the road. All-time in Iowa City, Ohio State holds a record of 16-6-2.
In 2024 at Ohio Stadium, the Buckeyes led the entire game claiming a 35-7 victory. The Ohio Satte offense recorded 209 passing yards and 203 rushing yards with five touchdowns. Buckeye wide receiver, Emeka Egbuka led the way with three touchdowns on nine receptions for 71 yards. Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith hauled in one touchdown on four receptions for 89 yards, while wide receiver Brandon Inniss recorded three receptions for 29 yards.
The Ohio State defense was able to limit the Hawkeyes to just one touchdown, with nine tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and one interception for a 45-yard return by cornerback Davison Igbinosun. Defensive lineman Kenyatta Jackson Jr., cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr., linebacker Payton Pierce and Jaylen McClain contributed a total of four tackles, with Mathews Jr. also having a tackle for loss in the win.
