Three teenage girls were hurt when they were struck by a car in Miramar on Tuesday morning.
NBC Miami has reported that the teenagers were walking within a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a Dodge Challenger. The girls, 15, 16 and 17, were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Miramar Police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Miramar Parkway and Douglas road while the investigation is underway.
Eastbound Miramar Parkway and southbound Douglas Road are closed as of 7 a.m.; westbound Miramar Parkway is open but has significant delays, and northbound Douglas Road is open.
