Connecticut consumers who bought certain generic medications between 2009 and 2019 may be eligible for compensation after multiple settlements with drug manufacturers accused of conspiring to inflate generic drug prices.
The $96 million settlement names dozens of medications, including certain forms of albuterol, prednisone, and warfarin sodium. The settlement will include payments from generic drug manufacturers Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, Heritage and Heritage’s parent company, Emcure, according to Tong’s office.
Attorney General William Tong is urging residents to check whether they qualify and file a claim.
The full list of medications at issue can be found here.
“Major players across the generic drug industry rigged the market and forced customers to pay higher prices for critical medication,” Tong said in a statement. “Our settlements have secured tens of millions of dollars in restitution, and we are just getting started.”
