A promising Singapore campaign ended abruptly, leaving the Ukrainian outside the last eight despite three quarterfinal appearances earlier this season.
Oleksandra Oliinykova has been eliminated from the WTA 500 tournament in Singapore. The Ukrainian was unable to reach the quarterfinals of the event, which has a prize pool of $1,206,446.

In the second round, Oliinykova, who is ranked 47th in the world, lost to Poland’s Maja Chwalińska, 0–6, 1–6. Her opponent is the world No. 25.
This year, 24-year-old Chwalińska reached the final of the French Open. For Oliinykova, the match in Singapore was an opportunity to reach the quarterfinals of a WTA-level tournament for the fourth time in her career.
The Ukrainian tennis player contested all three of her previous quarterfinals this year at WTA 250 tournaments – in Cluj-Napoca, Iași, and Hamburg.
Oleksandra Oliinykova’s next tournament will be the WTA 1000 event in Beijing.
