TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman made a stop at the University of Arizona Wednesday morning, meeting with students and researchers as part of the agency’s Inspiration Tour.
Isaacman joined university leaders at a town hall in Bear Down Gym, highlighting the school’s role in NASA missions and the push to inspire future generations. He spoke about visiting local suppliers and the importance of new talent as NASA plans to return to the moon and build nuclear-powered spacecraft.
Isaacman says the next generation will be crucial for these missions.

“Just really exciting and we’re going to need everyone here. I mean, we’re building a moon base. We’re going back to the moon and we’re building nuclear power spaceships to go to Mars,” Isaacman said. “We need a very inspired and energized next generation to contribute.”
Isaacman also praised the university’s long-standing partnership with NASA and encouraged students to see themselves as part of the future of space exploration. His tour continues with stops at other innovation hubs across the region.
