While virtually everyone should get chances in a hectic October, a report has suggested two AC Milan players are at risk of getting less minutes.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have published regarding the statistic that has emerged about Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has covered less total distance than Mike Maignan this season, albeit with a fraction of the minutes played.

They add that Loftus-Cheek’s defence attorney, however, shouldn’t feel safe. Between August and September, the Englishman went downwards in Ruben Amorim’s estimation and has continued to give the impression of being a ‘soft, inconsistent player’.

He was a starter in the first part of the season, now he’s a reserve. He’s playing less and less, and the return of Christian Pulisic and the growth of Diego Moreira will further deprive him of playing time, even with seven games in 18 days coming up after the break.

They make the prediction that – barring injuries – he and Alphadjo Cisse will play less, and will be the most affected when it comes to the distribution of minutes in the coming weeks.

RLC, when he does play, will likely be close to the goal because those are the characteristics that can help Amorim. He does still have an eye for goal and can make runs into the box, but 90 minutes of intensity and pressing, that’s less likely.
