SMYRNA, Ga. — WARNING: This story contains graphic details.
In a Friday night update, Smyrna police said more body parts of Tia Mosley, known to loved ones as “KT,” were found in garbage bags in the trunk of a vehicle.
The man arrested in connection with the death, Kingston Bradley, who was charged with concealing her death, will be charged with malice murder.
Police said the grim discovery was made while police were conducting a search warrant on a vehicle, the police department posted.

This news release is an update to the current homicide investigation from September 23, 2026. This evening, September 25, 2026, detectives conducted a search warrant on a vehicle and discovered garbage bags in the trunk. One garbage bag was pulled tightly showing the outline of a body part. The bag was not opened, and the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office was contacted for further investigation. Once the medical examiner was on the scene, the bags were opened confirming body parts. Based on the information we have at this time, we do believe the victim to be Shanteria Mosley known as “KT” by her friends and family. Kingston Bradly, who was already charged with concealing the death of another, will also be charged with Malice Murder. We are still actively investigating the case and following up on all leads.

Earlier, the family of a 26-year-old mother whose dismembered body was discovered in Smyrna is demanding answers as police identify a man already charged with concealing her death as a person of interest in a murder investigation.
“We just want justice, and we want the truth,” Mosley’s aunt, Michelle Weaver, told Channel 2 Cobb County Bureau Chief Michele Newell.
Mosley’s family says she was working as a DoorDash driver before she disappeared Wednesday.
According to Weaver, relatives tracked Mosley’s cellphone to the Park Valley apartment complex in Smyrna and began searching the area themselves. Family members say they knocked on doors and talked to residents while trying to locate her.
The search ended in tragedy.
Weaver said she, Mosley’s mother, and another family member found what they believe was Mosley’s dismembered body in a wooded area behind the apartment of Bradley.
“We just want him to tell us where the rest of her body parts are,” Weaver said.

Police have not officially identified the victim through the medical examiner’s office. However, Smyrna police confirmed that Bradley, who has already been charged with concealing a death, is now considered a person of interest in a murder investigation.
“He is a person of interest,” said Lt. Meredith Holt of the Smyrna Police Department when asked whether Bradley is a person of interest in the homicide case. “We are continuing to do interviews to see if there are any other possible suspects that could be out there.”
The family told Newell they located critical evidence while searching for Mosley themselves.
They say they saw Bradley carrying a plastic tub covered with a quilt while they were looking for signs of the missing mother.
The family has also criticized the police response after reporting Mosley missing.

According to Smyrna police, officers responded after family members reported finding Mosley’s cellphone and vehicle near the apartment complex.
“6:57 p.m. was the first call advising that the victim’s phone and the vehicle were over there,” Holt said. “I know our officers stayed for about 30 minutes. We were called back again about 30 minutes after we left. Witnesses saw the person of interest come out.”
Mosley’s family says they ultimately found her because they continued searching the area after first contacting authorities.

Bradley lives with his father. Police have been called to the home for numerous fights between the father and son. Bradley was charged and arrested in some of the disputes.
Mosely’s family told Newell they spoke with Bradley’s father while they knocked on doors searching for her. They said when Bradley’s father answered his door, he told them he didn’t see anyone. Investigators said they continue to interview the father.
Neighbors said they didn’t hear anything before Mosely’s family said they discovered her dismembered body. But one neighbor told Newell she heard Bradley say, “What did I do? What did I do?” when police arrested him. Another neighbor said he heard Bradley’s father say “What did you do this time?”
As detectives continue their investigation, Mosley’s relatives say their primary focus remains getting justice for a woman they describe as a devoted mother, daughter and sister.
Investigators said they expect to have more information in the investigation next week.
