BAY POINT, Calif. — Police believe a Monday evening shooting at the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station stemmed from an argument on the platform, the agency said.
Just before 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the BART transfer platform to Antioch at the Pittsburg/Bay Point station after an argument between two people turned into a shooting, BART Police said.
Three people with gunshot wounds were transferred to local hospitals and all are expected to survive.
BART Police apprehended one suspect nearby. Police continue to search for a second suspect, the department said.
Train service between North Concord/Martinez and Pittsburg/Bay Point has been restored, but there is still no service between Pittsburg/Bay Point and Antioch. For Pittsburg Center, there is a train from Antioch to Pittsburg Center after you exit the bus, according to BART.
