HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – October starts off hot and a little humid. By the weekend we will be tracking some rain and storms, but the weekend won’t be a complete washout with some dry weather mixed in at times. Next week gets us back to more pleasant early fall conditions.
For today we’ll start off with plenty of sunshine. A few clouds will arrive this afternoon, but no rain is expected. Temperatures will warm to around 90, but it will feel just a little hotter with the humidity.
Look for partly cloudy and muggy conditions tonight. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
Friday brings a mix of clouds and sunshine with some showers arriving by afternoon and evening. We’ll be otherwise very warm and humid with afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
We’ll be tracking scattered rain and storms at times for the weekend. Saturday looks warmest with highs in the low to mid 80s. Temperatures on Sunday will fall back into the mid to upper 70s. Weekend rain totals will average between ½ to 1 inch in most spots, with a few places picking up a bit more.
We will return to dry weather early next week. Temperatures will generally run in the upper 70s to low 80s for highs with morning lows back down in the 50s.
